Chesapeake Bay Wine Classic Foundation Fundraising Events

The Grand Auction
The CBWCF’s main event features auction wines that rival those at the most famous charity auctions and provides a forum for local restaurants to feature their culinary skills. The Grand Auction typically attracts more than 700 people and is believed to be the most successful event of its kind in the mid-Atlantic region. World-class wine auctioneers such as Ursula Hermacinski, Dave Reynolds and Fritz Hatton hold court at this event, which has produced revenues averaging over $1 million each of the past several years.

Wine, Women and Fishing
This fishing tournament organized exclusively for women anglers supports efforts to find a cure for breast cancer. Typically, more than 30 boats participate, with ladies catching and releasing blue and white marlin along with a variety of meat fish. Proceeds benefit breast cancer research at Eastern Virginia Medical School.

The Wine Jam
Each year Perry and Kevin DiBona host a fabulous party with live music, delicious cuisine and amazing wines. This event sells out quickly each year as guests look forward to joining their friends on the beautiful DiBona estate.

Special Dining Events
Featuring extraordinary wines paired with fabulous foods, as well as educational components that are a part of the Foundation’s charter, past events have featured RoGrace Family Vineyards, Dana Estates, Spottswoode Estates, Pride Family Vineyards, Mollydooker, Trespass, Artinori, Tierra Roja, Futo and many other other wineries.
