Virginia Beach, Va. – The Chesapeake Bay Wine Classic Foundation (CBWCF) raised $1.2 million dollars, the most in the history of the event, for educational charities at the 25th annual Grand Auction on Nov. 12. “We are thrilled and touched by the generosity and support of our board members and bidders that made this our most successful auction to date,” said Jon Wheeler, chairman and president of the Chesapeake Bay Wine Classic Foundation. “With their support, we have been able to make a $70 million impact on the lives of Hampton Roads students who will have a brighter academic future.”

Guests at the Grand Auction were treated to cuisine prepared by the area’s top chefs from Atlantic Shores, Eurasia Café & Wine Bar, Fresh Events, Press 626 Café & Wine Bar, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Todd Jurich’s Bistro and Zoe’s Restaurant.
